In some projects, the greatest design decision is not to build more, but to leave more space.

This project was shaped around the idea of creating a minimal footprint within a limited site, offering accommodation for a small number of guests while preserving the surrounding natural environment. The aim was not simply to place buildings into the landscape, but to create a spatial framework where nature, light, and architecture could coexist as equal elements of the design.

Following this approach, the buildings were positioned along the two edges of the site. The resulting courtyard became an extension of the street, transforming the existing stone walls of Marmaris into an uninterrupted spatial experience that connects the landscape with the sea. From the moment of arrival, this axis guides visitors towards the view, becoming the defining element that establishes the character of the project.

Here, architecture does not seek to dominate nature; instead, it adapts to its rhythm. The texture of natural stone, the continuity of the landscape, and the openness of the sky come together as parts of the same composition, allowing no single element to take precedence over another. Rather than competing with its surroundings, the architecture creates space for them. Throughout the day, changing natural light continuously transforms the atmosphere across the stone surfaces and landscape. As evening approaches, the lighting gently reveals the textures of the materials and the depth of the surroundings. Light does not merely provide visibility; it defines open areas, guides movement, and creates an invisible layer that continues throughout the day and night.

The result is not simply a holiday destination, but a timeless living experience where architecture, landscape, and light exist in harmony. The design does not only provide a place to stay; it invites a deeper connection with nature through a carefully choreographed spatial journey.
