The ultimate factor which values architectural space and makes it meaningful and a liveable "place" is human. The actions of vision, sensation, perception and interpretation, starting with the presence of human in the space, complete the evolvement of the dialectics formed by the subject over the space. Accordingly, various visual acquisitions make sense of space and finally lead us to reach its tangible dimension.

"Vision" is the first action in perceiving space along with it tangible, in other words quantitative form where" light" is the fundamental enabling factor . Far from all other design items in fictionalizing space; light is the essence which gives existence and meaning to space. Thereby, the relation between human and space first commenced with visual contact finally develops into a liveable, sensible and physiologically reciprocal “place” along with interpretation of the volume perceived by means of light.

Hereby, Lighting &Building is an architectural atelier creating liveable places and professionally utilizing the physical and physiological effects of lights through entire design process. In this atelier, every scale of idea is produced within the context of human-space-light interaction.

In a nutshell, Lighting &Building is an Architecture and Architectural Lighting Design Atelier.

Mimari mekânı anlamlı kılan ve buna bağlı olarak yaşanır bir ‘yer’ haline getiren en önemli öğe insandır. İnsanın mekânda bulunmasıyla başlayan görme, algılama, anlama ve yorumlama eylemleri öznenin mekânla kurduğu diyalektiğin gelişim sürecini tamamlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda, mekânın anlamlandırılması, çeşitli görsel edinimler sonucu oluşmakta ve böylece onun somut boyutuna ulaşılmaktadır.

Somut, başka bir deyişle nicel boyutu kapsamında değerlendirilebilecek olan mekânı anlamlandırma sürecinde gerçekleşen ilk eylem ‘görme durumu’ ve bunu sağlayan en önemli öğe ise ‘ışık ’tır. Mekânın kurgulanmasında, diğer bütün tasarım öğelerinin ötesinde ışık, mekâna varlık kazandıran ve anlamlandıran bir ‘öz’ niteliğindedir. Dolayısıyla mekânla insan arasındaki görsel iletişimle başlayan ilişki, fiziksel anlamda ışıkla algılanan hacmin yorumlanmasıyla birlikte yaşanan, hissedilen ve psikolojik tepkilerle karşılık bulan bir ‘yer’ haline gelmektedir.

Bu noktada, Lighting&Building, yaşanabilen mekânlar üreten ve bu üretim sürecinde ışığın fiziksel ve psikolojik etkilerini profesyonel anlamda tasarlayan mimari bir atölyedir. Bu atölyede, insan-mekân-ışık adına her ölçekte fikir üretilmektedir.

Özetle, Lighting&Building adından da anlaşılacağı gibi, Mimarlık ve Mimari Aydınlatma Tasarımı atölyesidir.
